re: Key phrase in the story:

"The latest "oops" from the Associated Press"

So instead of 2/3 it was less than 30%. Oh well, I had to read it twice and even got out a calculator to fiqure out exactly what they were saying.
It's surprising only 66% thought President was exaggerating- probably the rest were Republicans lying to the "biaed liberal media". Jesus, what politician doesn't exaggerate? They all arrange what they say so as to create a exaggerated impression. The point would be, did the salesman say the car had less 30,000 miles, when actually the car was known to have 66,000 miles on it.
Can you imagine a politican (or even a reporter) that simply told the facts- no selective use of facts, no omissions, just the facts as they were known. The public might get alarmed- "that's not a politican, it *must* be a hideous alien!".
Just the facts = hideous Alien. No song and dance = hideous Alien. No "I feel your pain" = hideous Alien.
