I presume Geek Speak is for more than board problems.
I've been trying to do video editing (on the cheap) for some time now. I can't afford the big expensive (hundreds, or thousands of dollars) software. One thing I have tried is MGI Video Wave. The version I have is 3.0. It used to work fairly well until I upgraded my computer. One of the things I liked about it was the video capture in sequence (i.e. time-laps) function. I would be able to set up a camera and have it capture 1 frame per second, 2 second, etc up to 1 frame per minutes or hours. However, now, for some reason it no longer captures frames properly. Mainly it is only able to capture 10% of the frames it says it is. I will set it to 1 fps and watch it counting off the frames for 60 seconds... 60 frames. But when I look at the video afterward it has only captured around 6 or 7 frames at random times throughout the time. I have tried all kinds of setting adjustments with no effect at all. I have downloaded a newer version 3.5 for free and that did nothing to fix it. I am reluctant to get the newest version, 5.0 because it will cost me and I am not at all confident it will fix the problem. Right now I am at a loss
Does anyone here know of a possible fix, or another inexpensive software that does the same thing?
