sharing resources

Sharing the printer's a piece of cake. Just go into printers, right click on the printer and hit share. On the other box hit add printer, network printer, surf network neighborhood till you find the printer on the other box and follow the rest of the instructions it gives you.

Now for the slightly tougher one you didn't ask about:

sharing the internet connection. Both boxes can share the internet through the host. I see from your post you are running win98. The host machine (the one with the internet connection) needs to have win98 SE or better running. If you just have win98 your SOL. There's a pretty good webpage about ICS (internet connection sharing) at practicallynetworked.com. I'll dig the URL out if your interested. I've set up 3 or 4 home networks with internet connection sharing. Sometimes they are a breeze, sometimes it requires pulling out your hair and screaming obscenities. I am going to be doing it for my father-in-law tomorrow night, so I'll be practiced up again by Friday.
