I saw an error message from the server-side software this morning indicative of a problem I was working on this weekend. I had to reboot the server to make it go away, and you might have caught the site coming back up.
I'll be taking the site down later today for about half an hour to install new software. It hasn't been all frantic bug fixing. I was able to add that chronological grouping function to the table of contents that I was talking about some time ago. You'll know it's working when a horizontal rule divides the TOC--threads above it have been active in the last 24 hours, threads below have been inactive. It'll be most obvious when somebody posts a message on an old thread, and that thread suddenly gets moved to the front page. I think of it as an "egalitarian" function--back-page threads will no longer be disadvantaged and consigned to the dustbin of history.
