LOCKHEED's hope is probably quite hostile towards Beagle 2, wouldn't you think?

Lockheed has successfully monopolized govt. contracts regarding Mars for several years now. Wouldn't it seem that Lockheed doesn't want the considerably cheaper, paradigm-threatening Beagle 2 to succeed? Hmmmm......Beagle 2 was launched from Baikonur. Doesn't Lockheed spend a lot of money with the Russian launching fellows?
