Escaping ?
There are no 36 solutions to escaping from an exploding rocket.
The problem is to carry as many astronauts as possible in the escape pod; the launch escape tower means the capsule is the way to space. Other ways (winged vehicles) would mean escaping sideways; I don't think it's as safe as escaping straight ahead from the rocket path. Besides; how do we save weight, carry as many humans as possible and at the same time insure safety?
