See how annoying it is?

Actually, I tried, in fact, my original article about unemployment among our age cohort, taken from a conservative source, was something I thought we could both relate to. Your response had the usual clever use of quotation marks and snarks about the 'Recovery Summer', dig, dig, aren't you clever? Never miss a 'Can't let those Reds get away with that shit now' moment, can we?'

I exercised immense restraint, to make my comment about what stopped the Depression (wartime spending) as neutral as possible, not realizing the Right now has decided it wasn't wartime spending that broke the unemployment of the 30s. You guys are rewriting history so fast its hard to keep up. I refrained from mentioning FDR or the New Deal, or how Hoover and the Republicans and their robber baron buddies blundered us into it with their extravagant and unprincipled business practices. I'm so, so sorry I used the word "stimulus" (legitimately and grammatically, by the way). I'd forgotten how sensitive you folks are to it.

But noooooo. Excuuuuuuse ME! Someone HAD to come up with a dissenting opinion, a way to put a stop to all that Bolshie babble. I know you see yourself as some kind of voice of truth keeping the unwashed from indiscriminantly spreading their foul propaganda everywhere, but you let nothing get past the censor. It is indeed, your way or the highway. Every little remark, every word has to get your seal of approval, or be buried in an avalanche of reactionary bullshit and cherry-picked and distorted statistics from one of your partisan websites or bogus authorities. We already know you're a wingnut Tom, there's no need to remind us. As long as you insist on being the hall monitor here, you must expect the occasional spitball.

The offer of a political moratorium still stands. Now that one other provocateur will be away for a few days, maybe we can make it work. If you don't want to give up your soapbox, you're just going to have to put up with the occasional rotten tomato from the crowd.
