It seems a manager at Los Alamos National Laboratory dialed an old phone number when ordering 20 transducers for the lab. Instead of getting electronics parts, she ended up buying a new Ford Mustang on a government credit card. After an investigation (where the original investigators were fired for being too "aggressive"), she was cleared.
