BAGHDAD, Iraq, July 2 — A U.S. soldier who was wounded on Tuesday in an attack on his military convoy in Baghdad has died from his injuries, the U.S. military said Wednesday. Following a day of attacks in which five other American troops were wounded, the chief U.S. administrator in Iraq sought to deflect criticism that opposition to the occupation was rising.
