They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder -- but nothing helps build that fondness so well as having to put up with another government for the interim. And I know the Allied troops in Afghanistan and Iraq are having a hellish time of it, U.S. and otherwise. Home is not always where one hangs his helmet. It's also where the heart is, and often far away.
