Congratulations to the region and the whole country! :-)
I very fondly recall the '98 Olympics in my hometown, Calgary. It was a remarkable time. Riding the C-Train, hearing English, French, Spanish, German and Russian all spoken in the same transit car! Die-hard Canadian hockey fans running down to ice-side in order to shake the Russian coach's hand. It was all just very cool.
And the Vancouver-Whistler area is stunningly beautiful. What a magnificent setting for the games.
