Do you have this stuff set up to update itself automatically? You're a lot braver than I am. I want to take a good look at anything Microsoft or any other outfit is doing to my machine, and while my system automatically informs me of critical updates, I have to manually activate them. The only thing I have updating invisibly in background are my virus definitions.
