A couple of different things:

First is the conservative kid attempting to post the flyer on "enemy turf". In a perfect world, all opinions will be welcome in all venues. We aren't there yet (try publishing some gay literature near the Texas state legislature, for instance). I agree that the black kids did not react according to Jesus' example. That's the sad state of the world, though. I would be amazed if the conservative kid did not expect some sort of reaction.

The second part is about the school's reaction. It was bureaucratic and over-the-top. I hope it was ultimately harmless -- keep us posted. Bear in mind that they had a large number of complaints from students, and that campus security was called in. Most organizations (left, right, and center) take pains to make sure that minorities are not offended.
