While dictaroships can be convenient for a lot of people, they are ultimately pretty rough on those dictated.
A LOT of poeple admired what Mussolini and Hitler and Stalin and Mao did in their respctive countries. Mostly they were people who gained a lot or who only had to visit occasionally.
My bet on the health care and literacy in Cuba is that like everything else Castro tells us, they are fabrications on the scale of the false claims by the Baathists about the millions of dead kids from the sanctions.
