re: Any further word on the power problems?
Last I heard the problem was within a power coupling. I'm not a spacecraft mechanic, but is sound like they have to live with it or route around it.
Can you go around a bad power connection on MER's cruise craft? Is it that ME is flying on the cheap thus leaving them without a spare? Or is this a weak link in the design chain?
