Awwwwww

IE users have been getting all the goodies for a long time, and for the most part Mozilla just equals IE, without breaking new ground. This is one of those tiny little features that Mozilla has but IE doesn't: Some script commands that turn off the menu, button, address, and status bars. It's this simple:

if( Mozilla )
{
self.menubar.visible=false;
self.toolbar.visible=false;
self.locationbar.visible=false;
self.personalbar.visible=false;
self.statusbar.visible=false;
}

There is a way to provide something similar for IE, but it's kind of ugly. If you switch to bare-naked mode in IE, script would launch a new window, bare of adornments, from your current one, and then close the current window. Same process going the other way, to a fully-tricked-out window. Kinda kludgy, where the beauty of the Mozilla Way is that script can modify its own window from the inside. Also, with tight security settings IE would pop up a small message box warning you that script is trying to close a window and asking for your permission.

Given that it would be that awkward, would you still want it?
