Connecting the dots
I'm a little embarrassed that this blatant double standard had not occurred to me.
Bush was condemned by the Left for not connecting enough "dots" of odd bits of intelligence before 9/11, and is now being condemned by the same people for supposedly connecting too many "dots" of intelligence information on Iraq.
