Surely you aren't trying to suggest that this hodgepodge of unattributed speculation is equivalent to a deceptive statement in his State of the Union address by Pres. Bush?
If so, you fail miserably.
This collection of ideas, analysis, op-ed snippits and other assorted miscellany, far from being the "conventional wisdom of many"..."bandied about by huge numbers of people...", as you put it, is more accurately characterized as uninformed speculation, none of which was used to justify an invasion of another country.
The fact that some people in the media occasionally make wild or inaccurate statements, or engage in uninformed speculation can in no way be used to justify deception on the part of our Chief Executive, if that is your intent here.
Sorry, Charlie.
