Pilots and guns...death by red tape
One of the smartest ideas for handling future hijacking problems was reinforcing the cabin doors and arming pilots. Simple. One of the things Bush should have done after 9/11 was to push this hard right off the bat, and make it happen. To my great disappointment, he didn't.
Now this crap is going on. This would be Bush's second chance to get into this and make it happen, cutting the red tape. I ain't holding my breath.
