Kobe insists he’s innocent of rape

Of course we haven't seen the evidence and can't draw a conclusion yet - but many who follow professional basketball are shocked at the rape charges. Kobe Bryant is not at all one of the "bad boys" of the NBA. He has a squeeky-clean image and that's why he's gotten so many product endorsement contracts.

This will undoubtedly be the biggest trial in several years, and unfortunately it will probably degenerate into a three ring media circus. And tonight ABC news leaked the info that the 19 year old hotel employee Kobe's accused of raping is white. So the whole media debate now has a racial angle too, even if race had nothing to do with the filing of charges.
