Your point is well taken, most of the Democrats here did, indeed, maintain that presidential veracity was not relevant as long as the Prez did his job well and the people benefited. That might just be the point here.

Under the Duhbya administration, we apparently have the lying-or whatever you want to call it, and the people are suffering a lousy economy, loss of employment, loss of international prestige, seeing our proud nation becoming an invader of smaller nations, a bully that throws out challenges like "bring it on" as an invocation to a global pissing contest.
