There are few people more enthusiastic about a strong and technologically advanced military than I am. That being said, that doesn't mean I agree with every new weapon idea that comes down the pike. I am, for example, skeptical that we need new nuclear weapons just to bust bunkers. Having a bunch of brand-new shiny microbombs laying around in warehouses would attract lightfingered terrorists like flies to a hogyard.
The devices have potential as Orion charges, though...(just kidding.)
Then, every so often you read about a weapon idea that is so utterly off the deep end of the pier that your first response is to grab the scientists and officials involved, pull out your MIB kit, and Neuralize the living crap out of them until they think they just grew their first tooth.
This is just such an idea. Thank God it was long ago and far away.

"If disturbed or damaged, they were primed to explode within 10 seconds."
Don't drag those anchors when you fish, boys...and I ain't kidding.
