If I was reaching, maybe I could draw a conclusion on your views of the incident from the phrase "infamous vietnam-era style murder of a bound captive," but that's a lot to conclude from just one little sentence, don't you think?
The fact is, most people seeing the picture now will place the interpretation on it that the antiwar press of the time intended. My setting the record straight doesn't change anything now...it's as firmly locked into place as dozens of similar myths.
