What EVER the outcome, NONE of it is JUSTIFIED!

If we ran this country over the past twenty-five years like the leftists and Democratic Party had want it run, the Soviet Union would still be in power, Saddam would not only own Kuwait but Saudi Arabia, and most of South and Central America would be Soviet puppet states.

This is not hyperbole. I heard exactly what the Left was saying and advocating for all those years, each time America--usually Republicans*--stood up and confronted totalitarianism in all these arenas. Their total opposition to any form of political confrontation (never mind military) with the forces of totalitarianism was consistent no matter who or what we were dealing with.

If we did things your way, monsters would be running half the planet. If we had done exactly what the protestors wanted last winter, Saddam would still be in power, and his sons would be grooming themselves to run the nation for the next forty years. If you think that's better than what the Iraqis have now, say so.

And while I've pretty much given up trying to get basic economic principles across, try and remember where the vast majority of the United States defense budget is actually spent.

Oh, and I kind of miss Bowser too, although Davin carries on just fine in his place and is considerably brighter. Anybody know where he hangs his hat on the Net now, if anywhere?

*Hey, in the Good Old Days (the early 1960s), a lot of Democrats did just fine in this department. Remember anti-communist Democrats? Are you that old?
