What self respecting scientist runs around writing news releases about himself everytime he participates at a conference?

The kind that says his peer reviewed scientific papers about life on Mars point to life on Mars - the single most important discovery in the history of science. Plus, Don, NASA doesn't give a hoot about the issue of life on Mars otherwise they would include life sciences experiments like the Beagle 2. It is unbeleavable to me that the NASA MER rovers are not even equipped with the instruments to detect current water on Mars! Instead they are looking for evidence of ancient water. Yet, Mars Odyssey is pointing in the direction of water/ice all over the planet.

Maybe that is why Levin is sounding his trumpet. I guess we'll see what Beagle 2 finds come December eh? Ready to do some hat eating again?
