After first announcing that they were cutting back sky marshals on high risk flights yesterday, the Bush administration reversed itself and has reinstated them:
Flip-flop on air marshal schedules

WASHINGTON, July 30 — In an apparent reversal of policy, the Transportation Security Administration will immediately begin scheduling air marshals back on cross-country and international flights, MSNBC.com has learned. The move comes less than 24 hours after MSNBC.com reported that air marshals were being pulled from those flights because of budget problems associated with the costs of overnight lodging for the marshals.
Just like the overnight reversal of the crackpot DARPA "policies futures market" website, the Bush administration is forced to reverse another bonehead decision. Cripes. These people take us to war on exaggerated and untrue claims that they have now admitted weren't true, and then they make these ridiculous decision that they have reverse almost as soon as they make them. This nation is being run by a crop if idiots who have no idea what they are doing. God helps us all.
