I was appreciating that particular tape when it was announced, Tom. Seemed a perfect quelling device to me -- if unintended.
There are, however, other "rumors" to consider.
Seems there are CIA reports of a Russian doctor treating Hussein after the initial missile strike prior to the Coalition penetration of Iraq. That report has the leader already dead. Is there a statement that actually confirms the speaker's identity on those tapes?
Still waiting for the north to be reclaimed by the south -- er, in Iraq, that is.
