On the one hand you have this:
"We are gaining the cooperation, the active cooperation of Iraqis who were involved in that program. We are, as we speak, involved in sensitive exploitation of sites that we are being led to by Iraqis."
On the other you have:
the U.S. government has been unsuccessful so far in finding key senior Iraqi scientists to support its prewar claims that former president Saddam Hussein was pursuing an aggressive program to develop nuclear, biological and chemical weapons,
The latter story makes it sound like we aren't hearing what we want to hear from 4 major and several minor Iraqis who we have.
I once asked the community how long would we search for weapons without finding them, before it would be reasonable to declare that they probably did not exist. Scott answered "2 years" (I think he was referring to UN inspections?).
But seriously, you guys wouldn't hold out hope for two years, would you? That's would be a heck of a stale argument by then!
