Yes there will be cranks who dismiss any findings.
The vast majority will be relieved though if/when WMD shows up. It will mean the White House did not lie (or if you prefer, was not mistaken).

As to the title of your post, are you sure you didn't mean "The Right: WMD no longer matters"?
There seems to be some serious back-pedalling going on in the admin.
They have seemed eager to keep hashing over those 16 words with people falling on swords left right and center.
Keep the focus on the evils of Sadaam (Gosh we didn't know he was THIS bad).

It takes any focus of all those speeches Cheney made about how Iraq was within spitting distance of a nuclear weapon.
