Schwarzenegger posed to reshape California politics

As California goes - so goes the nation.

That should be a very frightening prospect for weaker than ever Democrats who are about to see their somewhat effeminate and unsympathetic Governor in California ousted by a "mad as hell and not going to take it anymore" populace.

Gray Davis is the product of the twentieth century's latter-day democratic elitism. Selfish, incompetent and ineffective. Californians are tired of someone who spends more time grooming than governing, whose ambitions and political aspirations put the people at the heel of his own incompetence.

Such describes many democratic politicians from California. Nancy Pelosi and Dianne Feinstein are other spectacular examples of the entrenched elitism and disconnect with reality seen so often in California politics. Republicans have never been in a better position to retake California from the hands of the democrats - whose mismanagement has turned the state into a perpetual disaster zone.

Democrats must be especially concerned about Schwarzenegger because their voter pool and appeal is nothing if not shallow. Preaching class warfare only appeals to the most uneducated of the havenots - the same folks who cheer loudest when Arnold survives a hail of police bullets in a leather jacket and shades and who themselves may have had run-ins with the law.

Yes, Arnold is poised to steal the democrats core constituency right out from under them - leaving only the elitists to vote for retaining Davis.

Raising automobile registration fees is the same level of crime as killing a man's horse was a hundred years ago. Can someone be this dumb and still be governor? Well, clearly not for long. Clinton, the slipperiest President in recent memory, learned as Arkansas Governor the folly of doing such an action. Can Davis be even less astute than the Arkansan Clinton? Or is Davis' chaffeured limousine, which is paid for by the people, exempt from the increases? Such elitism and disconnect will not go unpunished and the people have rallied around the stereotypical "Punisher" of evildoers - Schwarzenegger.

But what of those who compete alongside the Terminator?

Huffington is all huff and puff and the avowed enemy of the SUV. Another elitist whose luxury lifestyle and hypocrisy is evident to most sophomores in high school. Her political ambitions, like those of her husband, will remain unfulfilled and she will have to continue to peddle her hypocrisy via her agent to the highest paying elitist media outlets.

Smut peddler Larry Flynt can probably count on Woody Harrelson's vote and any aspiring whorelets in his immediate entourage. Gary Coleman can count on Gary Coleman's votes much as the snake in the grass looking and acting Lt. Governor Bustamante can count on his own vote and those of his underling henchmen.

The fallout from this recall will likely hearten Karl Rove and paint an even more optimistic picture for 2004 for republicans. Winning California would certainly be icing on the cake for the man who baked up victories for Bush and many new republicans now residing in Congress.

In Terminator 3, Arnold defeats a soulless machine hellbent on preserving the status quo. They say art imitates life, but in this case the resemblance is quite uncanny.
