Fanatics against freedom still lurk in Iraq
There are many ways one can work for the negative forces. Like most Al Qaeda (or even like folks who post doom & gloom) - they genuinely convince themselves of the nobility of their intentions. Whether causing death or exploiting it for political gain the end result is the same - they become a tool of those who squelch freedom and progress.
In many ways those folks who are convinced of their righteousness are the most dangerous. They can justify murdering innocents to further a political agenda. They can set off bombs or blow themselves up in a testament to their own unintelligence and fanaticism.
Al Qaeda knows that if Iraq continues on it's course to religious and political freedom - their days are numbered. Jordan, long a US ally, is a natural target. Middle east peace - closer than ever. Palestinians have never been received better at the WH than their latest representative, Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas visited.
The future for the middle east is bright - but only if we stay the course, refused to be swayed by terror, fear and put a spotlight on those who use exploitation of misfortune as justification to keep people in chains.
