Last thursday, friday and saturday nights, the Nights of the Falling Stars werte organized all over Europe, to attract the public into astronomy.
Three successive nights of clear skies and lots and lots of curious people looking at the Moon, Mars through our telescopes.
It was real fun!
I didn't see many shooting stars, though, being busy with the scope and the Laptop's screen and explaining. Friday noon, I saw myself and a report on our activities last thursday in our national french speaking TV channel RTBF.
I went to 3 different places and here are pictures about them. The largest national gathering took place in our Eurospace Center (like a spacecamp). The last one was in a university town (Louvain-La-Neuve) with friends. I never had so many people looking at the Moon through the laptop and with the webcam's help.
And next tuesday, there's a special show about Mars on the french public channel France2.
This is the 13th edition of the Night of the Falling stars (actually it's now plural "nights").
