Aug. 12 — Postwar Iraq continued to be a dangerous place Tuesday, with one soldier killed and two others wounded in a bombing and a rocket-propelled grenade attack reportedly claiming four casualties. The latest violence came as U.S. forces concluded a sweep intended to root out Iraqis taking part in the armed resistance.
