WASHINGTON
Two men with Pakistani passports, whose names are on a terrorism-related no-fly list, were arrested Saturday evening in Seattle, two government sources have told CNN.
An employee at an airport ticket counter got suspicious because both were paying cash for tickets and were seen at the airport together but were booked on separate flights, these sources said.
Both men, whose names were not released, were illegally in the United States and will ultimately face immigration charges, sources said.
Currently, they are in FBI custody as an investigation is ongoing, but no criminal charges have been filed against them.
The men were scheduled to fly on different flights to New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport.
After their arrests, sources said the men admitted they were smuggled into Washington state from Canada in July.
Their names were run through a database operated by the Transportation Security Administration.
