Power systems designed by StarFleet
Man, Tom, what a story...
Hearing about the way the power grid collapsed because of a single fault reminded me of StarFleet engineering practices: When the Enterprise gets stung on the butt by a phaser, consoles on the bridge explode. Apparently humanity lost the art of building circuit breakers some time in the 21st century. Or the Enterprise was built by the lowest bidder! Was the North American power grid designed by time-traveling StarFleet engineers?
Glad you survived the Great Blackout of 2003. Welcome back to advanced technological civilization!
