Dust cloud envelpoing the solar system
Shades of The Black Cloud by Sir Fred Hoyle!
A cosmic dust storm is on it's way, coinciding with the cyclical drop in the sun's magnetic field, making for more particles intercepting Earth. Is it a coincidence that I saw 3 meteors in 5 minutes last night?
The number of incoming particles recently tripled and the pace is expected to grow over the next decade. Terrestrial weather and climate will not likely be affected, but more shooting stars could grace the night sky, said the study's leader, Markus Landgraf of the European Space Agency (ESA).
