re: Computers in Movies

I love how in the tv show The Agency, it takes less keystrokes than I'm using to type this message to extract the face of a terrorist from a picture and insert the face of any member of the CIA. Even when the faces are being looked at from different angles. All without touching the mouse once.

My favorite part of watching CSI is to see how they can zoom in on any picture from security cameras and extract all kinds of detail to solve the case. The best one was when they took a photograph off the suspects desk and were able to zoom in on the reflection in the girls eye and make out the shape of a porthole which they later matched to the mom's boyfriend's yaught. Of course this was the same episode where a guy was shooting frozen meat bullets and got off on a self defense plea. 'nuff said.

-Steve G. (sometimes my wife kicks me out of the room during her favorite shows, and I have to finish watching them later from tape if I'm still interested.)

Oh one more, what's the deal with that show Without A Trace. Do people really think the FBI has nothing more to do than track down people that didn't show up for work one morning? If a kid dissapears i can understand, but most episodes I have seen the first 10 minutes of (see above) it is an adult that is missing. And of course there's that clock that tells you the person has been missing for 26 hours and counting. Come on the guy probably just went fishing.
