Apparently, the terrorists haven't been informed that Canada opposed America's actions in Iraq.

Note in the third article how these detainees are being defended by assorted people and groups, and the government urged to release them. Nobody seems to be praising the government for heading a possible tragedy off at the pass.

Had the CIA and/or FBI hauled in the September 11 terrorists prior to their attack, based on the suspicious actions they were taking (flight lessons, etc.), the response from American civil rights groups and others would have been the same. A vigorous defense, and condemnation of the evil FBI for jumping to conclusions. Hindsight is always 20/20.
