The left's rhetoric has so long bandied about the terms Nazi when referring to conservatives and republicans that the younger generations with far too little history under their belt, actually may believe they are somehow synonymous! When the left tries to say Hitler wasn't a socialist - I cringe - The National Socialist party was the NAZI party. They were just another flavor of the Bolshevik type socialists who kill and slaughter their own internal populations to achieve their vision of how society should be. It had nothing to do with conservative mores whatsoever! My grandparents were very conservative Germans and they despised Hitler and what he was doing. Hitler simply focused on the Nationalistic "Germans" rhetoric and appeal while Lenin focused on an appeal to the "Workers"- both of these groups would somehow live better lives under their new and improved social system.

That's a laugh.

Conservatives prefer traditional views and values. Traditional views and values means different things to different people but basically conservatives are pro-family, some form of spirituality or moral code, pro-capitalism, prosperity as a noble goal yet not at the sacrifice of ones moral code or ethics. They dislike radical reform or radical changes. They do not like to see government have all that much power over the lives of people.

It's that simple.
