12 year-old boy starts medical school

Savants can often memorize enormous amounts of information, or perform a few magic combinations of symbols, such as math, art, or music. A score of 200 on an IQ test is a joke, but someone so young who can successfully complete a variety of university level courses is certainly no joke. I have experience in cancer research and treatment, and in my opinion his gifts would be wasted on that problem. I think the best good that this person can do in medical science is to figure out what makes him better at learning than everyone else. *Something* is profoundly different about him, and perhaps the same gifts could be stimulated in everyone else with the right treatments.
