How to kill an RFID?
If you're ever worried about these things, one minute in the microwave does most chips to death.
I once had a musical mug that drove me crazy. I liked the mug, but hated the jingle it played every time I picked it up, so I microwaved it and had a nice quiet non-musical mug...
In theory, anything that is an RF transmitter can be blown by blasting it with the frequency it emits, at high power. Something is bound to give way in the transmitter system, at least.
