Space/Science » in reply to Done deal: liquid water can exist on Mars.

Ridiculous!

"Everybody knows," Bob, that liquid water is "impossible" at the surface of Mars under present conditions, as was "conclusively proved" by Mariner 4 in 1965.

And "everybody knows" that Gil Levin is a crank, Bob.

(The wonder is that tests that showed liquid water was possible at the surface of Mars under present conditions were done by Gil-the-Crank and almost no one else. Why should anybody test what "everybody knows?")

And as for: Arkansas-Oklahoma Center for Space and Planetary Sciences

Who can believe what they say?

(/snark)
