Not sure that I would accept the premise that people tucked away on an ivy-covered liberal arts campus, protected by tenure, are necessarily smarter than people out in the real world, being productive, inventive, and creative, and creating wealth instead of burning it.

First thing to get out of the way is that LJ was teasing you.

But mainly: you think teachers aren't productive, inventive, or creative, and that they don't create wealth??? If conservatives in general share your opinion then you should get used to polls that show libs outnumber cons in this profession.

Teachers don't create wealth??!!!??? I'll give you a chance to say you are just kidding before I rant on this topic.
