Interesting, I hope they can track down the animals but still keep them safe. They seem to be leaning towards the idea of it being a hybrid between a chimp and a gorilla, but more info is needed.
There are things still to be discovered out there... just last year, a whole new Class of insects was discovered in Africa. For perspective, all mammals form a Class, so this is a significant group. Classes are generally divided into Orders (such as Primates, Carnivora, Rodentia, etc), which are further subdivided into Genera (Homo, Ursus, Mus) and then species (sapiens, americanus, musculus).
