Simply, your fixation on manned Mars flight prevents your mind from accepting any fact as real which interferes with it.
The reason why Barry "never provides you with any information to back up his claims" is that when he does, as he often has tried to do, your mind is simply incapable of 1)understanding it, or 2) remembering it.
It's really pretty pointless for Barry to talk with you, as it is for me. The only thing he gains is insults.
