D. Spires — (archived)

I've been a solid fan ever since.

And he really surprised me in "The Razor's Edge" (1984), taking on, of all things, Tyrone Power's roll as Larry Darrell. Heavy.

I'd have to say he's very comfortable as a "serious" comedian, and manages to handle the reins of drama with equal skill -- though possibly a lot more work.
