The Democrats are rich enough they don't need bribes from rich constituents, they can afford to look out for the poor too. As an alternative explanation they might just be better educated. Which is cause which is effect?

How exactly do rich politicians "look out for the poor?" Gosh, that isn't THEIR wallets I see them digging into.
BTW, I don't think very many people remain poor with a law degree--what almost all politicians have--but how they get rich is interesting.
