Fake Microsoft patch viruses

A version of this warning was posted on Geek Speak as well. I think it's important enough to post here too.

There is a virus e-mail that looks enough like something from Microsoft to fool all but the most sophisticated users. I have gotten this thing twice. I wish there was some way to reproduce it here. It looks very official, the graphics are Microsoft graphics, and when you click on menu items they are real links to Microsoft sites.

The attachment is the Worm.Automat.AHB virus, not a patch.

Microsoft NEVER, NEVER sends patches as e-mails.

A much less sophisticated version, with no graphics, and the somewhat poor English text:

"Dear friend , use this Internet Explorer patch now!
There are dangerous virus in the Internet now!"

is also making the rounds, with the W32.Dumaru@mm virus as a payload.
