I find it astonishing that you can refer to people who look down on what these people do as elitists. It might surprise you to know that many people don't consider serial lying to acceptable even in politics. They are also utterly corrupt as any examination of their business links will show you. Most people are really not crooks and liars so simply trying to do things honestly doesn't have to be an elitist philosophy. That you find honesty elitist is bizarre.
