WASHINGTON - President Bush seems to be increasingly politically vulnerable on issues from the economy to Iraq, though the public still sees him as a strong leader and approves of his handling of the campaign against terror.
With the president's approval rating hovering in the low 50s in some polls, Democrats appear to be in a more competitive position than they have been in months, a CNN-USA Today-Gallup poll suggests.
